Mauticon London 2026
Frederik went to London for Mauticon. He gave a talk. He also grew a moustache.
November in London. The Mautic community gathered at Sea Containers for their annual world conference. Dropsolid was there as Platinum sponsor. I started wearing a moustache on 1 November. It is Movember. I did it before, back at the VRT with Nico and Trogie. A reminder not to take myself too seriously.

A lot of people who care about open source marketing automation.
I gave a talk. Title: Managing Mautic Without Logging In. The idea: what if Mautic users never had to open the interface? What if AI tools could do it for them? Live demo included.

The talk covered three things.
1. Mautic via API: Bruce
Dropsolid built Bruce. Bruce is an AI platform on top of Drupal and Mautic. It has KPI-driven agents. It can create forms, segments, emails and campaigns. You talk to it. It does the work. Live demo: speak a brief, get a full Mautic setup.
2. Mautic via MCP
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It lets AI assistants talk directly to Mautic. I built a bundle for this: MauticMcpBundle on GitHub.
It works with Mistral, OpenAI and Claude. You open your AI tool of choice. You type. Mautic does things. No browser needed. No clicking around.

Too many people blindly copy-paste AI output straight into their marketing automation and emails. Please do not do this.
3. AI inside Mautic
Mautic itself is getting smarter. AI reports. AI segments. AI emails. And MAIK: the Mautic AI Konsole. Unofficial. Brings convenience to Mautic v4. See also: Mautic AI plugins: open source.
Best talk of the day
Joey gave a talk called "Can you Mautic a country?" Mindblowing.
Dropsolid wins award
Dropsolid received the runner-up award for Partner of the Year. Thanks to Anderson.

The food
The catering was excellent. The caramel cookies were borderline unreasonable.
The sprint
5 November was the community sprint. I could only make it for half a day.
Mautic and the enterprise question
Joey and I put together a list of enterprise marketing automation features and brought it to the team. The team will decide if and how those get into core.
But after a POC for a large client, I already knew the answer. Mautic will not be ready for really big enterprises in the coming years. As a Belgian, I know what a compromis is: the worst of both worlds.
So now I am thinking somewhere else entirely. An open enterprise marketing automation system. Ecosystem model, like Odoo. Financially viable. Open so anyone can use it.
If that sounds interesting: hit me up.
Good conference. Good city. Good moustache.
