DrupalCon Prague 2022: booth person, 1500 learners, and open source built in millions of small increments

DrupalCon Prague 2022: first time at the booth, testimonials from Ukraine that moved the room, Dries on the open web, and a group selfie in front of Prague Castle at sunset.

Last week I experienced some of the values of open source first hand.

The community

Heartwarming: seeing the vibrant and incredibly active Drupal community from all over Europe, and from Canada, the US, the UK, India, and more. More than one heart-warming story heard.

The testimonials from Ukraine moved my core. Please support their cause.

First time at the booth

This year I learned to be one of the booth people. 1,500 people learning a new skill, improving an existing skill, or improving people skills. Open source is also about learning.

The keynote

Something we can all learn from: Dries Buytaert's keynote on the open web. Worth watching.

Open source in one sentence

The Chinese have a saying: "death by a thousand cuts." Similarly, open source could be described as "proudly built by thousands of contributors" or "built in millions of small increments."
